After presenting my idea I was given the opportunity to creatively direct the brand identity
of our final show, BLOOM.
BLOOM is a visual identity inspired by the experience of graduating from university stepping outside of one's comfort zone.
BLOOM is a monochrome, yet bold brand that was designed to amplify how different each designer within the 23' cohort were from one another. The monochrome palette does this by enabling the individual designs to complement the brand.
Each bubbly initial represents a member of the cohort. The identity revolves around the characters being cut off, resulting in abstract shapes. This creates the impression of outgrowing an area, in this case university.

12 Unique Initials.

SOCIAL MEDIA
BLOOM promoted the show using
an Instagram account that featured each designer's personal space within the show. Each person had
a carousel post promoting their original final project, which was represented in the grid by their abstract initial.

WAYFINDING
The playful abstract shapes bring
a distinctive feature, making the brand memorable. Helping them
find the show efficiently and easily.

THE ZINE
The BLOOM zine, created following the guidelines of the visual identity. Every designer in the cohort were given a page that highlighted their project and allowed them to briefly explain the reasoning behind it.
These were distributed at the event and delivered to design companies and studios to promote new graduates in the industry.

THE BLOOM POSTER
To assist people identify designers from the event, we created a double-sided A3 poster with a grid that folded up into a little square. The poster featured photos of the designers
on one side, their initials on the other, and a brief description of their idea.
